Dr. Sara Aleksandravicius, DC, MS-S, NCPT

Sara Aleksandravicius was born and raised in New Jersey and partially in the small island country of Jamaica. She began her movement journey as a figure skater at the age of three, however, after a lifetime of competing she retired due a number of preventable overuse injuries. Sara’s physical rehabilitative journey began as a patient of Chiropractic and Pilates. Upon completion of her B.S. at Rutgers University in 2015, she attended the Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI) Comprehensive Pilates teacher training course in Brooklyn, NY.

Eager to learn more, Sara traveled to studios around the world where she gained experience in Pilates for athletes, chronic pain syndromes, injuries and pathologies. Her travels then inspired a move to Southern California to teach and train at BASI HQ in Newport Beach, before long she began pursuing a Doctorate of Chiropractic to gain a deeper understanding of the human body and its rehabilitation. Sara is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) as recognized by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).

As a graduate of Southern California University of Health Sciences with a concentration in Sports Medicine, Sara moved to Fairbanks in the summer of 2022 and joined the Alaska Brain and Spine team to help educate others in their recovery and movement. Understanding the benefits of integrative healthcare, she also collaborates with a number of other providers in the community on a case by case basis. Sara is currently enrolled in the Masters of Science - Sports Medicine program at University of Western States in the pursuit of further growing her skills and understanding of rehabilitative medicine. Additionally, she utilizes Webster Technique for perinatal care.
